Day on the Lake

Today we were invited for a boat ride with Papa and Grandma Char. The weather was mild and sunny with temperatures in the high 70's. The lake wasn't very crowded, so we rode for awhile. Then we stopped and sat in the sun and ate snacks. By the end, Grace was getting tired, and decided to lay down...for about 20 seconds.

Dan raked some leaves into a pile for Grace to jump in. She didn't want to jump by herself, so Dan had to jump with her. Here it was 70+ degrees and sunny today.

Tree Hugger

Sunday we went to the Renaissance festival in Huntersville. It was cloudy, cold and muddy. All things Grace doesn't mind. She wasn't that interested in the sights, but she just wanted to ride rides. Of course, these we had to pay extra for these.

The Pokey Little Puppy's First Halloween

On Halloween we braved the anticipated rain and went to Birkdale Village to trick or treat. The stores gave out candy. Grace was her always pokey self, sitting down in each store to eat her candy. We then came back and went to a few houses in our neighborhood. She ate candy until she had a tummy ache. The next day, she started eating candy again.

Earlier in the day, we carved our pumpkins we got at the pumpkin patch a few weeks earlier.

Halloween Visit

We were visited this Halloween by Nana and Aunt Elizabeth. Thursday was warm so we went to the beach at Lake Norman and played in the sand. Friday it was cloudy as we went trick or treating in Downtown Mooresville

Early Halloween Party

We had a Halloween party with our friends the weekend before Halloween. In this picture are two friends from our SAHM's group and Meg, our friend from Buffalo who lives in Charlotte now.

Her first cut and color

Grace accompanied me to Carolyn to have my hair colored. Grace loved it so much, she had to get a cut and foils herself.

Our Halloween House

We tried to decorate more this year for Halloween. With this little bit, we still probably had the most decorated house in the neighborhood. Grace couldn't wait for the car and the pumpkin to blow up everyday.

Morgan's 1st Birthday!

We took a short trip to Buffalo for Morgan's big day. It was nice and sunny for the party. It was a nice day.
