As we were getting ready to swim Thursday, I looked out and noticed that a snake was lounging on the tree roots of the big oak. I immediately called our neighbor, who rushed to our rescue. He pulled the 5 foot long snake out of the hole it was trying to hide in and threw it to the ground. He then stared it down as it bowed and hissed at him. I brought a box out, and he coralled it and took it to the woods at the bottom of the hill. It left behind its skin, which our neighbor, Alicia, took home to her father.
The we all hopped in the pool, hoping this is the last we see of the snakes.
