Saturday the museum was hosting an American Indian celebration with music, dancing and crafts. Grace enjoyed the dancing and was not shy when they asked for volunteers. She went up by herself and danced with the group. She then made a bracelet, mask and pinch pots.We toured the museum, and she liked the Chinese exhibit. The property houses the oldest house in Charlotte, built in 1742. It is a beautiful property with the museum building and then the old house, barn and kitchen outside.

Grace got to wear her costume everyday from Wednesday to Sunday (except Saturday). There were so many carnivals and trick or treats, she was excited. We only painted her face for Halloweens treating and for the treating Friday in downtown Mooresville. She loved her pace painted better than anything. She kept having to run and look at herself in the mirror.

Grace enjoyed coloring faces on her little pumpkins. She is ready to carve the big one too.

Nana and I joined Grace and her preschool class for a trip to the pumpkin farm. We were lucky that the weather was not wet, but it was still muddy from the rain the day before. Grace loves the mud. Grace and I have been to Patterson Farms a number of times, and it is always a good time. We came home with three small pumpkins and one large pumpkin for carving.

A children's museum opened about thirty minutes from us, so we took Nana for a visit. It was very crowded because it was opening weekend. But we at least got to see it. Grace had so many things to do. It is a really nice area designed for kids under 7.
